General Terms and Conditions for Participation in the 17th German Peptide Symposium
Acceptance of Terms
By submitting your registration, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and the organizer regarding participation in the 17th German Peptide Symposium and supersede all prior agreements.
Registration and Payment
Registration for the 17th German Peptide Symposium (March 4–6, 2026, Essen) is only considered complete upon receipt of the registration fee. Payment is processed via Converia, and the terms and conditions of Converia apply. Payment options only include credit card payment as offered by Converia.
Entry to the symposium is only permitted after full payment of the registration fee. The organizers reserve the right to cancel unpaid registrations. On-site payment is not possible.
The organizers reserve the right to refuse or cancel a registration at their discretion. In such cases, a full refund will be provided if refusal occurs before the event.
Substitutions and Cancellation
Full refunds of the registration fee minus an administrative charge of 50€ will be granted for cancellations made in writing before the 11.02.2026. After this deadline, no refunds of the registration fees are possible. Cancellations including refunds will only be considered in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the conference organizers. It is possible to nominate a substitute delegate from the same organization at any time, free of charge. All cancellation or substitution requests must be submitted in writing to the Conference Office at 17gps[a]uni-due.de
Please note that participants are responsible for organizing their own travel and accommodation. The organizers accept no liability for the cancellation of flights, train tickets, or accommodation booked by participants.
Cancellation of the 17th German Peptide Symposium
If the symposium is cancelled for any reason, 100% of paid registration fees will be refunded.
Program Changes
The organizers reserve the right to modify the program, including postponing or cancelling individual sessions or program elements, if necessary. No liability is accepted for such changes, and participants are not entitled to withdraw from the contract or claim compensation. The organizers will endeavor to provide adequate alternatives where possible.
Code of Conduct
All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner. The organizers reserve the right to exclude any participant who disrupts the event or violates the code of conduct, without refund of the registration fee.
Force Majeure
The organizers are not liable for any delay or failure to perform their obligations if such delay or failure results from events beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, or other force majeure events.
Privacy Policy
By registering for the symposium, participants consent to the collection and processing of their personal data for the purposes of event organization and fee processing. Data will not be used for purposes other than participation in the 17th German Peptide Symposium. Personal data will be deleted after the event, unless retention is required for legal or administrative reasons.
The organizer and its registration processor, Converia, process your data in compliance with the European GDPR. The information provided upon registration is necessary to organize the event, generate invoices, confirm your registration by email, create your badge, and allow you to modify your registration.
Creation, Use, Editing, and Publication of Photographs and Videos
Photos and videos will be taken during the symposium for public relations purposes. By registering, you agree that photos and videos taken in connection with the event may be published, used, edited, and reproduced by the organizer for representation purposes on the intranet, internet (including social media platforms), and in print and presentation media, without any claim to remuneration. This consent is voluntary and can be revoked at any time in writing to the organizer with effect for the future. Participants who do not agree will be assigned a special seat during the symposium.
Disclaimer
The organizers are not responsible for and are exempt from any and all liability for damage, injury, or accidents to any person traveling to or during the symposium, or for loss or damage to luggage or any other property. All insurance, including medical cover or expenses incurred in the event of cancellation, is the responsibility of the participant. Participants are strongly advised to secure travel insurance covering loss of fees due to cancellation of participation or the event, loss of airfares, medical expenses, loss or damage to personal property, additional expenses, and repatriation.
