Programme

The third Dresden Nexus Conference will take place on the 3 – 5 of June 2020 under the theme “Circular Economy in a Sustainable Society”.

DNC2020 aims to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable economy by focusing on identifying and discussing the concepts that nexus thinking offers to support the transition towards a circular economy. A detailed description of the thematic scope can be found in the Concept Note.

The Organisers are developing a diverse programme, including a variety of both conventional and modern session formats to engage with the conference topic, with high-level keynote speakers sharing their insights. Sessions with contributions from international experts will provide a more in-depth look at nexus-oriented strategies for achieving sustainable development.

The programme will also offer several opportunities for participants to engage with each other, network and exchange experiences, for example, during poster sessions, panel discussions, and a World Café. Excursions will also give participants the chance to learn about practical examples in Dresden and the surrounding area.

Further details on the programme coming soon!

If you are interested in engaging at DNC2020, please check the Submission page for more information. We welcome submissions for oral and poster presentations.

The Dresden Nexus Conference (DNC) series is dedicated to advancing a Nexus Approach to natural resource management. DNC is organised by the United Nations University (UNU-FLORES), the Technische Universität Dresden (TU Dresden), and the Leibniz Institute of Ecological Urban and Regional Development (IOER).
