The IFK, one of the world’s largest scientific conferences on fluid power, unites scientists with industry in an international forum to exchange knowledge in the area of hydraulic and pneumatic drives and control systems.
The Institute for Fluid Power Drives and Systems (ifas) at RWTH Aachen University organizes the conference every four years. We cordially invite you to participate in the 13th IFK in Aachen, which will be held under the motto:
Taking into account the global challenges of limited amount of resources important topics like digital transformation, sustainablility assessement, mobile and industrial applications, hydraulic and pneumatic components and systems as well as tribology and fluids are some of the main topics of 13th IFK. For further information, take a look into the Call for Paper.
On the first day, the symposium provides a framework for presentations and demonstrations of fundamentals. Primarily, it is meant to provide researchers from universities the opportunity to present their research to a wide international community of scientists. The symposium is, of course, open to all participants of the IFK who are invited to contribute and participate in the discussions as well. The following two days cover a wide variety of application- and technology-oriented topics.
The conference offers participants the possibility to submit their manuscripts for peer-review. Please pay attention to the manuscript requirements and the shorter deadlines.
The conference will be accompanied by an exhibition, where companies dealing with instrumentation, controls or simulation tools have the opportunity to display and demonstrate their novel products and developments. Additionally, the possibility to present new developments in industry and academia in the form of posters will be provided.
The Institute for Fluid Power Drives and Systems (ifas) of RWTH Aachen University is one of the world’s largest and best known scientific institutions conducting research in all aspects of fluid power. This includes hydraulics and pneumatics, as well as all of its fields of application. To be equipped for the future, current research includes areas such as information technology, servo-control engineering, electrical engineering, tribology and chemistry on top of mechanical engineering.
