A true “guru” of hydrogen and fuel cell technologies, and of a happier world in general, Angelo Moreno has defined the discourse on their role in driving energy sustainability, in Italy, in Europe and – whenever possible – in the rest of the world. With his distinct appeal to common sense, pro-activity, technology neutrality, true sustainability and simple goodness, he has won over the minds and hearts of many a scientist, industrialist, policy maker and citizen, in embracing the cause for hydrogen as a new energy currency. Together with Piero Lunghi he is the founding father of this Conference, which testifies to the willingness to promote this ambition, catalyse scientific progress and bring together the international community in order to realize what has been his professional dream across the various waves of enthusiasm: a hydrogen economy.
Angelo Moreno leaves us with the honour and heritage of pursuing this project while he will dedicate himself to the younger generations and his new winter passion: being the perfect Father Christmas!
