General Terms & Conditions for the Workshop Frontiers of Uncertainty Quantification in Engineering (FrontUQ) 2024

User Account: If you already have a user account at the Workshop Frontiers of Uncertainty Quantification in Engineering (FrontUQ) 2024, you are welcome to log in with this data. Otherwise, you can create a user account during the participant registration process. You can use these login details to log in at any time to view your documents (invoice & ticket) or to edit your personal details.

Registration is binding. A legally valid contract is created upon receipt of the registration. Confirmation of participation will be sent by e-mail. The participation fees must be paid using the payment method selected during registration within the payment period stated on the invoice.

Payment can be made by credit card or by bank transfer. Payment by credit card can be conducted during the online registration process or after logging into your profile. No credit card fee will be charged. You will get a confirmation of registration and payment afterwards via e-mail. For paying by bank transfer, you will receive an invoice including all payment details via email some days after completing the online registration. All bank charges have to be covered by the delegate. The registration for the conference is only valid after receipt of the full registration fees.

Students are kindly asked to upload a full proof of matriculation, i.e. a scanned copy of the student ID card or a letter from a professor or head of department, in the second step after online registration to confirm the student status at the time of the conference.

Cancellations must be submitted by email at organizers@frontuq-2024.comRegistration fees will be refunded as follows:

  • minus a 5% cancellation fee if the cancellation is received in writing at least 90 days before the event
  • minus a 25% cancellation fee if the cancellation is received in writing at least 30 days before the event.
  • If the cancellation is received less than 30 days but at least one week before the event, the registration fees will be refunded (minus a cancellation fee of 50%).

If the cancellation is received less than one week before the conference, no refund will be granted.

These conditions also apply in the event of non-appearance of the participant, in the event of force majeure, illness, accident or similar reasons for prevention.

Registration of substitute participant is possible at any time. A processing fee of EUR 20.00 will be charged for processing at any time.

Photographs, videos and sound recordings: Participants acknowledge that photographs, videos and audio recordings of participants will be taken during the congress and published after the event on the congress website, in trade journals and/or other publications. By registering and accepting the General Terms and Conditions, participants agree to the use and/or publication of the photographs and/or audio and video recordings. If the participant does not agree to this, this must be communicated to the person responsible immediately on site.
