Adjunct professor Arto Reiman works as a research team leader at the University of Oulu in Finland. The team he leads focuses on well-being at work and productivity. In his doctoral thesis in 2013 he analyzed delivery truck drivers’ work outside the cab from the ergonomics and occupational safety perspectives.
Before his current appointment, Reiman has worked in a national research institute, private consultancy business and in a large Finnish municipality.
Reiman has done research and provided consultation to different industrial sectors (like construction, mining, transportation and process industry) in the fields of occupational safety and health, and ergonomics and human factors. His current research interests relate to corporate social responsibilities and integrated management systems.
Reiman is the president of the Finnish Ergonomics Society and participates actively in international ergonomics networks.
