General Terms and Conditions for the WCRP Global km-scale Hackathon – Hamburg node

Registration fee

€ 150,00 all Participants. 

Registration is free of charge for eligible candidates of travel support. To apply for the travel support, please contact us.

Acknowledgement

Registration and payment will be confirmed by E-Mail.

Cancellation Policy

• For any cancellations or booking changes a service fee of 20€ will be charged.
• Cancellations received from April 21 through May 2, 2025 will be eligible to a refund of 30% of the paid registration fee.
• For cancellations occurring after May 2, 2025 no refunds can be made.
• Bank administration fee and credit card fee will not be refunded.

Data use agreement

With registration, the participant agrees to the usage of his data by the organization committee.

Personal data will not be passed on to third parties. Agreement can be revoked informally by writing an E-Mail to: global-hackathon@express.converia.de

Insurance

The organizers cannot accept liability for personal accident, loss, or damage to private property, which may be incurred as a result of the participation in the WCRP Global km-scale Hackathon 2025. Participants are, therefore, advised to arrange appropriate insurance coverage. This should apply not only to travel but also to cancellation costs. German law is applicable. Place of jurisdiction is Hamburg, Germany.

Disclaimer

By registering, participants acknowledge and consent that during their attendance at the WCRP Global km-scale Hackathon 2025 their contributions to online sessions may be recorded by an official of the conference. This content may be distributed or published at the discretion of the Max-Planck-Institute for Meteorology. If you do not wish to be recorded, you are required to formally advise the organizers in advance.
