General Terms and Conditions for the 6th EUROSHNET Conference 

1. Registration fees

Registration until 31 January 2019 490 EUR
Registration from 1 February 2019 590 EUR
Students (ID required) 290 EUR
Accompanying persons 150 EUR

The registration fee includes:

• Admission to the conference sessions and the poster area
• Conference materials
• Lunches and coffee breaks
• Cocktail dinner on 12 June 2019
• Conference dinner / evening event on 13 June 2019
• 19% VAT

Accompanying persons

2. Cancellation policy

The Conference secretariat must be notified in writing by e-mail ( or fax (+49 941 6965 12 81) if you wish to cancel your registration. Telephone cancellation will not be accepted. The appropriate refunds will be made after the conference.

Cancellations received

Until 31 March: full refund of the registration fee less 30 EUR handling fee
until 15 May 2019: 50% of the registration fee
from 16 MAy 2019 no refund
Cancellation by EUROSHNET: full refund

3. Name change

If you are prevented from attending, you may send a colleague in your place. Name changes should be notified in writing to the conference secretariat. A handling fee of 30 EUR will be charged for each name change. No name change will be possible after 01 June 2019.

4. Accommodation

You can book your room directly with the hotel using the booking form on the conference website. The terms and conditions of the hotel apply.

5. Visa requirements

Invitation letters for visa purposes will only be sent to participants who have completed the registration process and paid the conference fee. We strongly advise you to ask for an invitation letter and apply for your visa well in advance of the conference.

6. Pictures

We will take photos and/or make films during the conference that might be used afterwards to report about this event and for other non-commercial purposes (website, press release, print products, social media). If you disagree, please contact the photographers and/or filmmakers directly on site.

7. Disclaimer

The participant acknowledges that he/she has no right to lodge damage claims against the organizer should the meeting or parts hereof be hindered or prevented by unexpected political or economic events or generally by force majeure, or should the last-minute cancellation of speakers or other reasons necessitate programme changes.

EUROSHNET shall be liable for damages only if they or any of their agents violate an essential contractual obligation (cardinal obligation) in a way that compromises the intent of the contract or causes damage through gross negligence or willful misconduct. If the culpable breach of an essential contractual obligation is not of gross negligence or willful misconduct, then EUROSHNET’s liability shall be limited to typical and foreseeable damages, limited to the ticket price. Essential contractual obligations shall be duties that must be fulfilled in order to enter into a contractual relationship. Further on, EUROSHNET is excluded from the liability of consequential or incidental damages. 

Place of fulfilment and sole court of jurisdiction for all questions arising from this contract is Bonn, Germany.

German law and jurisdiction shall apply.
