The conference Neue Kulturgeographie about “Speculative Geographies of the New Climate Regime” from 30.09. to 02.10.2025 at the University of Augsburg is dedicated to the resurgence of speculative thinking in the social sciences and humanities and is organized by the Chair of Urban Climate Resilience.

Registration deadline: 21.09.2025

The aim is to explore its potential for geographical research and social transformation processes. Three thematic blocks will deal with ontological foundations, epistemological approaches and empirical-geographical applications of speculative thinking. The conference offers space for interdisciplinary exchange and invites researchers to contribute to critical reflection and methodological development.
