Terms and Conditions for Participation in the 13th Workshop on Fats and Oils as Renewable Resource for the Chemical Industry
1. Organizer
The event “Workshop on Fats and Oils as Renewable Resources for the Chemical Industry” is organized by

2. Scope of Application
These Terms and Conditions apply to the participation in the above-mentioned workshop, including registration, payment, and all related services provided by abiosus e.V. via the Converia conference management system.
3. Registration and Confirmation
Registration is carried out exclusively online via the Converia platform.
The registration becomes legally binding once the participant completes the registration process and receives a written confirmation by email.
The participation fee is due upon receipt of the invoice.
4. Fees and Payment
Participation fees are stated on the official workshop website and in the registration form.
The registration fee is not liable to value added tax (tax exemption according to § 4 Nr. 22a UStG).
Payments must be made by bank transfer or PayPal to the account specified on the invoice.
5. Cancellation Policy
Requests for cancellation made prior to March 20, 2026 will be subject to a EUR 25 administration fee.
After that date, the full amount of the invoice has to be paid.
Requests for refund will not be accepted; however, registration may be transferred to another member of the same organization.
In such cases, please send a written notice to the organizers.
If the meeting is cancelled for any reason, fees already paid will be refunded in full.
Further recourse is excluded.
6. Changes to the Program
abiosus e.V. reserves the right to make changes to the workshop program, including scheduling, speakers, and content, provided such changes do not fundamentally alter the nature of the event.
Such modifications do not entitle participants to claim compensation or a refund.
7. Liability
The liability of abiosus e.V. is limited to intent and gross negligence.
abiosus e.V. accepts no responsibility for any loss, injury, or damage to persons or property during the event, unless caused by the gross negligence of the organizer.
Participants attend and travel at their own risk and responsibility.
8. Copyright and Recordings
Presentations, abstracts, and other materials distributed during the event are protected by copyright and may not be reproduced or distributed without the author’s permission.
Photo, video, and audio recordings taken during the event may be used by abiosus e.V. for documentation and promotional purposes.
Participants who do not wish to appear in such materials may contact the organizers before or during the event.
9. Data Protection
Personal data collected during registration will be processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy available on the Converia registration page.
Data will only be used for purposes directly related to the organization of the workshop and will not be shared with third parties except as stated in the privacy policy.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The place of jurisdiction is Oldenburg, Germany, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
