Petrocultures 2026: Situating Energy.
Please read the following instructions carefully before registering.

The registration period ends on July 1, 2026. Please make sure to register within this deadline. - Attention: Members of TUD (faculty and students):

To register as an attendee, please click the button "Register as Attendee" on the left side. As the first prompt you will be asked to select whether you register as a private person or as a business client. For tax purposes on our side it is crucial to select "business client" if you wish your invoice to be issued to your institution (to be selected as billing address). This will also require you to supply the VAT number of your institution (only within the EU). At the next step you will be prompted to select one of three registration options, depending on your academic/employment status.
Registration Options:
Regular | Professors and tenured faculty | 150 EUR
Discount 1 | Postdocs and non-tenured faculty | 100 EUR
Discount 2 | PhD Candidates, students, artists, etc. | 80 EUR
You will be able to make payments using credit card, bank transfer, and Google/Apple Pay.
During the registration process you will be asked to create a user account. With this account you can log in later, using the login box on the left side, to retrieve your invoice, adjust your abstract and title, add positions to your booking (e.g. conference dinner, field trips), make a cancellation, or change your personal data.
On August 25, we plan to offer three pre-conference field trips to sites of petroculture and energy transition in the region. Registration for the field trips will open on June 1, and all conference participants will be notified by email. Participation is limited, and transportation will be centrally organized from Dresden.
We will host a casual conference dinner at an independent arts and culture venue in the city of Dresden on Aug 27. Attendance at the dinner is optional. During the registration process you will have the option to register for the dinner separately.
We have made reservations for a reduced conference rate at several hotels in the city with easy access to the conference venue. For more information on booking hotels through our conference rate and travel to Dresden, please see our conference website: Petrocultures 2026 Conference Website.
Please note that all cancellations incur a processing fee of 25 EUR. Cancellations received by July 31 will be refunded in total (minus 25 EUR processing fee). Cancellations received after July 31 cannot be refunded.
