In the following, we provide information about the processing of personal data when using the website www.aks2025.de. Personal data is all data that can be related to you personally. Other conditions may apply on other pages of Ruhr-Universität Bochum.

Description and scope of data processing
Each time our website is accessed, data about the accessing computer is required to provide the information (necessary for the provision of the information, legal basis Art. 6 para. 1, letter e). The following data is processed:
(1) Information about the browser type and version used
(2) The user's operating system
(3) The user's IP address, which is anonymised by shortening it immediately after the information has been provided
(4) Date and time of access
(5) Websites from which the user's system accesses our website
The anonymised data is also stored in the log files of our system. This data is not stored together with other personal data of the user.
The processing of the data is absolutely necessary for the provision of the website and the operation of the website. The user therefore has no option to object.

Your rights as a data subject
If your personal data is processed, you are a data subject within the meaning of the GDPR and you have the following rights vis-à-vis the controller:
You can request confirmation as to whether personal data concerning you is being processed. If such processing is taking place, you can obtain information about the purpose, the data, the origin of the data, recipients of data (including international transfers) and the duration of storage.
You have a right to rectification of the data if it is incorrect or incomplete. Under various conditions, you have the right to have the data deleted or to restrict processing. In particular, data that you have provided voluntarily must be deleted if you withdraw your consent. If data has been passed on, the deletion also relates to the recipients of the data and we will inform you of the recipients of your data.
