Things you can do in Cologne

Visit the Dom cathedral

There are several museums in Cologne that are worth a visit, especially the Museum Ludwig and the Römisch-Germanisches Museum

It is always nice to enjoy a coffee along the banks oft he Rhine, or even do a boat trip

At night, there are several places where you can go out for dinner or have some drinks:

Zülpicher Straße: a street full of restaurants and bars, especially popular among students

The Old Town: this is the area around Gürzenich, where the conference takes place

City Center: central places are for example Barbarossaplatz, Zülpicher Platz, Rudolfplatz, Friesenplatz and Neumarkt. In these areas there are a lot of restaurants, shops, bars, etc.

Shopping: best place for shopping is the area between Neumarkt, Rudolfplatz and Friesenplatz, for example Ehrenstraße, Schildergasse, Hohe Straße, etc.
