Getting to Ruhr-Universität 

On the Ruhr-Universität website you will find general directions to the campus and specific information for traveling by train and public transport and by car. Further information on how to get around Bochum (by underground and bus, bike, car-sharing, cab, etc.) will be available in the conference brochure. 

IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to construction work on the line between Bochum and Essen, long-distance Deutsche Bahn trains will be diverted past Bochum in the vicinity of the conference. We therefore ask you to allow a little more time for your journey and will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

The RUB campus has various levels that can restrict mobility. The campus map for wheelchair users shows all level paths and the lifts in the buildings.

Due to extensive construction work on campus, there may be barriers. It is therefore also worth taking a look at the constantly updated interactive map ‘Baustellen RUB’, which also shows barrier-free paths and longer-lasting restrictions on lifts.

The conference dinner will not take place on the Ruhr-Universität campus, but in the Deutsches Bergbau Museum. It can be reached from the campus by underground line U35 (stop Deutsches Bergbau-Museum). Timetable information is available on the BOGESTRA website.
