"Understanding, communicating, shaping": Under this motto, the University of Wuppertal is a recognized force - in the international research landscape, nationally and regionally. Nine schools and more than one hundred degree programs shape a strong profile. Despite its current size, the university, which was only founded in 1972, still relies on short distances after fifty years - and not only for its more than 21,700 students and 4,000 employees. Located in the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region (Germany), the university is excellently networked in research, teaching and transfer: whether within the framework of top-class research associations, high-performance technology clusters or joint degree programs. Also worldwide, more than 100 Erasmus partner universities, around 70 cooperations with foreign universities and companies, and more than 110 nations on the university campus form an attractive network.
